The first job I ever had was selling my art. I made drawings of characters from the Disney movie, Bambi. I was 10 years old and knew nothing of copyright violation. I just knew I had tapped a lucrative connection between what I loved to do and what school mates wanted!
Since then, I've been a writer, an editor, an educator, and an actor. But drawing remains central to my creative and professional life.
Enjoy this online gallery and store. If you want something you don't see, let me know! I enjoy keeping in touch with folks and seeing how I can help with their art needs.
Illustrator Dean Cornwell . . . MAD Magazine artist Mort Drucker . . . and fantasy artists Frank Frazetta and Jeffrey Catherine Jones. I owe them all a debt of gratitude.
Traditional drawings in graphite and occasionally charcoal . . . digital painting . . . line-and-wash (i.e., pen and watercolors)
I began magazine illustration in 1989. I've illustrated children's books and created art for several private collections. I focus mostly on creating work on commission and for this online gallery.
